The lab · Voice clones
Six voices you'll recognise. None of them are real.
Each one is CosyVoice, an open text-to-speech model, working from a few seconds of the real person's voice. They all read the same line, so the only thing changing between players is the voice.

The same line, six times. Nothing here was recorded.
Before you judge them...
Nobody gave permission for these, and that matters. A cloned voice is the person, as far as anyone listening can tell, and the law is still working out what to do about that.
So these six exist to be judged, and for nothing else. The clips are seconds long, everyone reads the same neutral line, and none of them says a word their owner would mind. That's critique - how convincing has this become, and how do we feel about it. Anything past that needs the person's consent.
